Red-shouldered Ctenucha, Ctenucha rubroscapus

Ecola State Park, Cannon Beach, Oregon

There were at least half a dozen of these superb black moths visible in a small area – preferring to spend much of their time on the Horsetail Ferns growing on a hillside overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Lens: Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro

F-Stop: f/4.5

Exposure Time: 1/250 sec.

ISO Speed: ISO-400
