Contrary to what may be erroneously inferred from all the entomologically incorrect Halloween displays being more and more commonly seen these days, spiders do not possess internal calcified skeletons.

Also contrary to what may be inferred – although in this case far more justifiably given empirically available evidence that up until recently was entirely correct – Richard Bradley‘s remarkable book Common Spiders of North America is not only available in an expensive hardcover edition. A new paperback edition, richly illustrated with the same remarkable illustrations from Steve Buchanan and printed on the high quality of paper they very much deserve, has – as of October 2019 – become available from University of California Press.
