This new book presents selections of curated items from the museum’s breath-taking collection, ranging from astrolabes to early electronic calculators, and explains some of the interesting and important work that has been made possible by their presence in the museum’s collection.
If you’re like me, you may very well have more than one copy of some of your favorite books. Perhaps they are different editions, perhaps one is a loaner and the other your prized copy. When it comes to insects, no field guide is sufficiently comprehensive to cover all the possible species to be found in even a small geographic area. But sometimes, covering all the possibilities isn’t necessary; sometimes – particularly with beginning naturalists or the simply curious – even covering only a few is fine.
