Then the Bus Broke Down
On the return trip from birding in the Wasatch National Forest, the fan belt broke on the bus. No fan belt means not only no forward movement but no AC as well. So we popped open the emergency exit windows and propped them open with water bottles until help arrived.
Spotting the Rosy-Finch
The bird was on the thin strip of rock at the top of the snow field. Even in a scope it was just barely identifiable.
