Since being introduced to the world in 2019, the Princeton University Press Pedia series of books has brought readers pocket-sized, delight- and information-filled compendia of interesting facts about a number of subjects, including fungi, flowers, trees, dinosaurs, and most recently dogs.

In Jessica Pierce’s recently published Dogpedia: A Brief Compendium of Canine Curiosities dog-lovers and all others who are simply interested in learning more about dogs are presented with an A through Z collection of facts, explanations, and trivia about the many variations of domestic canids, their biology, behavior, and inter-relations with humans.

With helpful illustrations by Kelly Chudler, this handy little book is a veritable treasure chest of knowledge about our longest-standing non-human companions. It should be considered as mandatory reading for dog lovers and is also highly recommended for all others who simply wish to learn more about them.
