Jonathan Wood and The Raptor Project are always a big hit with those attending the Rio Grande Valley Birding Festival. Jonathan not only has a superb collection of many of his live "education" birds on display, he presents lectures incorporating them many times each day, and flies them both inside and outside the exhibition hall as well. The Barn Owl he's holding in this picture nearly landed on my head at the conclusion of its brief indoor flight.

Moblogging and watching out for perching owls, peace and good bird watching.
