CSIRO Publishing, the Australia-based science and technology publisher, is holding their annual stocktake sale from now until 30 June 2025.
What sort of books are on offer? Hundreds across a wide range of scientific subjects with a particularly stong showing in the area of natural history. For example, one of my favourite natural history guidebook of recent years is CSIRO’s Guide to Venomous and Medically Important Invertebrates. Not only is it a remarkably interesting, important, and informative book, it is also particularly useful in ensuring that one gets plenty of personal space when read it on an airplane (and yes, I know this from experience). Normally this handy book is AU$ 59.99 but during this sale it is available for AU$ 30.00.
I very much encourage you to have a look through CSIRO’s online catalogue. If you’re and naturalist, I’m confident you’ll find more than enough titles to pique your interest and deplete your bank account (for a worthy cause, of course).
If you enjoyed reading this, please consider signing up for The Well-read Naturalist's newsletter. You'll receive a helpful list of recently published reviews, short essays, and notes about books in your e-mail inbox once each fortnight.
