I am very glad to report Dr. Maloof has now revised and updated her 2016 book “Nature’s Temples” from Timber Press into the newly published and slightly re-titled “Nature’s Temples; A Natural History of Old Growth Forests,” published just this past April by Princeton University Press.
A History of Oregon Ornithology
It’s not often that I find myself presented with the opportunity to write about a new book the subject of which centers upon not only the geographic location in which I’ve spent my entire life (thus far, at least) but also the activity that has defined, and even the very person responsible for putting me on, the strange occupational path I’ve followed these past twenty-five odd years.

News has recently come my way regarding a newly published book from Princeton University Press by Prof. Noah Heringman titled “Deep Time; A Literary History,” in which the professor undertakes a cross-disciplinary exploration of reflections of the title concept in the works of eighteenth and nineteenth century natural historians.
