STEMxm_RGBFor those who, like me, enjoy listening to intelligent people having intelligent conversations with one another about science and natural history, I am pleased to report that I was recently made aware of a podcast that perfectly fits this description: STEMxm.

Hosted by “Mel the Engineer” (who has quickly made it onto my “Twitter folks it would be fascinating to meet” list), STEMxm presents one-on-one interviews that, as the podcast’s website proudly and clearly declares, highlight women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

The first episode I listened to was #7, an interview with evolutionary biologist & entomologist Dr. Corrie Moreau of The Field Museum and University of Chicago. I highly recommend it as well as all the others. In fact, make a binge-listen to the entire backlist of eleven, keeping your laptop or tablet nearby to follow all the helpful and interesting links provided by Mel in the show notes for each one.
