FLASH! Filson / Le Chameau Wellies to be Produced
Well-informed hunters, bird watchers, and all others who pursue an activity requiring prolonged plodding over wet or muddy terrain know the value of a well-designed, soundly-constructed Wellington boot. While such boots are widely used in the UK and continental Europe, making them fairly easy to find, North American outdoor enthusiasts have not yet taken to them in equally large numbers, thus making them a bit harder to acquire on this side of the proverbial pond.
Which is why I was so please to discover that Filson and Le Chameau are planning jointly to produce a line of premium level Wellies employing the best elements of each of those respective companies’ experience, materials, and technologies. There will be three models, including one for women; all made of Le Chameau’s premium quality natural rubber and lined with either Filson’s extremely durable tin cloth or their luxurious merino wool.
