Win Free Natural History Books!

| August 25, 2010

“Win free natural history books!” Now there’s a sentence that surely gets my attention and I expect yours as well; which is no doubt why the good people at Princeton University Press are holding the contest that is so succinctly summarized by that vocative exhortation. Nevertheless, it is a sentiment that we can all certainly join together in pronouncing laudable.

The premise is quite simple. Either visit the Princeton University Press Facebook page and indicate your positive feelings toward it and the fine publishing institution it represents (or in Facebook lingo – “like” it), or activate your favorite Twitter-monitoring application and add Princeton University Press to the roster of those you “follow.”

Should you be selected this coming Friday, August 27, 2010, from all of Princeton University Press’ admirers and followers, you will receive two of their recently published books: Birds of Western North America: A Photographic Guide by Paul Sterry and Brian E. Small, and Birds of Eastern North America: A Photographic Guide, also by Messrs. Sterry and Small.

Good luck to all, and should you find yourself so inclined, please don’t hesitate to also “like” the Facebook page of The Well-read Naturalist and “follow” it on Twitter. It won’t increase your chances to win in the least but I don’t think they’ll hold it against you either (no guarantees though), and it would certainly do a world of good for this publication’s Internet footprint.
