Having the Wingscapes BirdCam 2.0 continuously monitoring the comings and goings of our garden-visiting birds has allowed us to see many species we might have otherwise been unaware were stopping by our feeders. However every so often the images downloaded from the camera show us the presence of a rather odd bird.
Quite an unsavory looking character, to be sure. The cap makes me particularly suspicious.
I can’t quite make out the pin on his lapel but I think it’s the symbol for some sort of political radical group. You know how people who creep around gardens in tweed jackets can be.
The camera finally recorded an image of this fellow’s face – and what a face it is. Look at the tired expression in the eyes. Obviously the face of a man who has pursued a life of debauchery and strong drink.

Well. It’s nice to know we can get these sort of telling photographs! Kinda makes one want one on every corner of the yard!
